As below, the conversion is underway from G.workshop to 15mm alternative. I don't like to turn my back on the 28mm created so far, but I just can't feel the Eldar, and having seen the huge momma model recently released, I ask myself, "what is the point?" If I maintained my direction with Eldar, I would need yet another new rule book, £25.00 please, some more additions to my lines, at least £20.00 per set please, and a brain scan to see what part of my financial reckoning had come loose!
To switch to another army of interest, well I would need a constant gold supply just to get it started. I get the pricing reflects the points on the battlefield, yes we could all go buy brutish models if they where cheaper and forgo the grunts, but come on, is it really worth £20.0 + for simple and poorly cast plastics? For example purposes, I take a model Lancaster I have on the go. Different ballgame true, but it cost less than £30.00, has 20 times more parts per cast frame then the above mentioned, is actually cast a lot better, and gives me as a modeller more value per pound spent.
So, 15mm.....Smaller, less detailed, harder to paint. But,,,,,, More cost effective, hence less emphasis on waiting for each pay day for the next addition, meaning easier battle setups and adjustments in weeks not months, and thus more time spent on what matters, the GAME!!!!
